Cate & Hunter

When I first met Cate for coffee a while back, I knew that this wedding was going to be incredible… I was just sad that I had to wait almost a year for it to finally arrive! Then when I met Hunter about a month before their big day, I got even more excited. Cate and Hunter are so genuine and fun to be around, making my job that much more enjoyable. And their love for one another is truly heartwarming. For example, Hunter proposed to Cate by carving, “Will you marry me?” into pumpkins, and they very tastefully incorporated pumpkins into their decor. So cute! Also, Hunter sang a song for Cate (in front of all of the guests, might I add) at the reception… Need I say more?

Their beautiful day exceeded all of my expectations. Cate is an event planner and she was so organized throughout the entire process that everything went off without a single hitch… And she looked absolutely stunning in her BHLDN dress. Plus, I finally got to photograph a wedding at The Ivy Room, which I’ve been dying to do! This place is the perfect little oasis in the heart of River North, and you could easily walk by never knowing that a beautiful brick courtyard wrapped in ivy awaits on the other side… I fell in love immediately.
