Jackie + Liam
Jackie and Liam’s September wedding day was such a beautiful one! I was so excited to photograph a wedding at Germania Place for the first time, and it is easy to see why Jackie and Liam picked this Old Town venue to host their reception. Germania Place was built in 1888 and is a registered historic landmark building in Chicago. The architecture is absolutely beautiful, including 50-foot ceilings and a 15-foot stained glass window from the 1893 World’s Fair.
Like most of my weddings this year, the day started with rain but the weather cleared up just in time for the ceremony. We headed to Lincoln Park for wedding party photos afterwards, and you can tell from the preview below why it is one of my favorite places in the city to take pictures. It has the perfect mix of cityscapes and nature, and you know I am all about the nature shots! Everything was still pretty wet from the storms that morning, but this wedding party was more than willing to climb into a muddy field in order for me to capture the vibe we were going for… Serious wedding party goals! Enjoy a sneak peek of their gorgeous below. 🙂
