Danielle & Paul

May 10, 2017

Danielle and Paul’s wedding… AMAZING! Not only because every little detail was gorgeous, but also because of how awesome these two are. They live in Dallas, so I had only met Danielle once prior to their wedding day and hadn’t met Paul yet. When Danielle and I got together for coffee a few months before their wedding, we hit it off right away and I knew that she was someone I’d want to hang out with if she lived here. She is seriously so sweet and genuinely kindhearted! So based on my experience with her, I knew Paul would be pretty awesome, too. When I started taking his ‘getting ready’ photos, we quickly figured out that he and I were both students at the University of Illinois at the same time, so we had a lot to talk about right off the bat… Like the fact that I probably served him drinks multiple times while I was a bartender at the Illini Inn. 🙂

The two of them decided to do their first look at Union Station and it was incredible! The wedding gods were definitely on our side because it was lunch hour on a Friday, yet the building was virtually emptyBoth inside and out! We were lucky enough to get some great shots there, and then Danielle and Paul had reserved a lot of extra time for photos around the city, which I loved! They were so laidback and in sync with each other you’d never be able to tell by looking at their images that it was only 25° F outside. Seriously, so cold!

The ceremony and reception were at City View Loft, which is perfectly urban and rustic all at the same time. The couple also made most of the wedding decor themselves, and it looked absolutely stunning in the space! I could go on and on about how beautiful everything was, but I figured it would just be better for you to see for yourself! Enjoy a preview from this gorgeous day.
