Kerri & Matt

September 23, 2016

This was one of those weddings where I was smiling behind my camera lens the entire time because everything was just so freaking beautiful. The bride. The groom. The dress. The perfect Chicago summer day. The sweetest ceremony (Those vows!). The decor. I could seriously go on and on about all of the beautiful details that made Kerri and Matt’s day so incredible.

And we can’t forget about the venue… Prepare yourself for about a thousand photos from The Rookery Building’s amazing winding staircase in this post. Matt is an architect, so it is no wonder that he and Kerri selected such a historically significant building for their big day. Fun fact… The Rookery is considered the oldest standing high-rise in the city of Chicago, and the lobby where Kerri and Matt got married was actually remodeled by Frank Lloyd Wright in the early 1900s (thank you, Wikipedia). In other words, it’s absolutely stunning. And when you throw you in all of the gorgeous details I mentioned above, you end up with quite the perfect day!

I am SO thankful that Kerri and Matt let me capture their wedding and I couldn’t be happier for these two—They are a beautiful couple and their genuine love for each other truly shows in their photos. See for yourself below. 🙂
